Code of Conduct

!Please Review!

We will strive to cooperate with parents or guardians to instill Godly character, biblical morality, and good habits. (This includes but is not limited to respect for authority and peers, taking responsibility for own actions, and practicing kindness, honesty, and integrity.)

Attendance:

Students are expected to be on time and ready to learn.

TN law requires attendance of 180 days per school year. This allows up to four (4) unexcused absences per school year.

Doctor notes are required for absences due to sickness; if your child has a fever, they must be fever-free for 24 hours without medicine before returning to school. 

Class begins at 8:15 AM and dismissal time is 3:15 PM excessive unexcused tardies or late pick up will result in a parent conference with Pastor Jerrod.

Classroom and Homework Expectations:

NDA aims to provide a welcoming and supportive work environment to facilitate optimal learning for all students.

Students are expected to be good stewards of their time regarding daily seatwork, computer time, and center work.

Student are expected to work with integrity.

students will not;

  • copy someone else’s work or answers

  • use search engines to gain answers to questions

  • misuse, or have unauthorized use of computer, electronic devices, and internet.

  • disrespect to teachers and staff

  • create general disturbances

  • abuse of permission

  • turn in excessive incomplete work

  • excessive lateness/tardiness from activities, recess time, and breaks

  • break or damage school property or peer's personal belongings

  • making noise that could unreasonably disturb others.

**Offences will be followed with appropriate disciplinary action including Parent conference with Pastor and, or Sis Chandra.


Homework must be completed daily; including but not limited to;

  • unfinished schoolwork

  • homework worksheets

  • spelling review

  • 20 minutes of reading

  • Scripture memorization (**Memorization must be completed at home. Scriptures must be said before or on Thursday of each week)

**Parents are responsible for checking homework and Friday (work at home work) to ensure all assigned work is completed before signing the parent confirmation page.


Dress Code:

We have adopted a relaxed, casual dress code; however, we request that each student practice good hygiene and a modesty dress code.

Leggings are unacceptable as pants ** Top must be below the butt.

Boys' athletic pants should not be form-fitting.

Clothing with profanity, drug paraphernalia, satanic, and sexual content is prohibited (parents may be called for students to change)

Harassment and Intimidation:

We have ZERO tolerance for any form of sexual harassment, including all acts of a sexual nature, verbal or physical, which are unsolicited, unwelcomed, inappropriate, and demeaning will not be tolerated.

A hostile or offensive atmosphere, interference with an individual's performance, including bullying or physical harm, threats, or any act creating a fearful environment, may result in suspension or expulsion.

Prohibited Items and Activities:

Weapons are prohibited on school/church grounds. Use or possession of weapons or dangerous items (i.e., guns, knives ** pocket knives, bows, and arrows, explosive devices, etc.)

Tobacco products, vapes, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or any abuse of prescription drugs is prohibited (Prescription drugs must be turned in to staff).

Fighting or other physically violent or physically threatening conduct. Creating a hazardous or physically offensive condition on school/church grounds or field trips is prohibited.

Theft; unauthorized possession, use, or entry; vandalism; destruction; damage; or conduct that is reasonably likely to cause damage is prohibited.

Violation of this policy may result in suspension or expulsion.
